I'm actually pretty excited for this one! I was hoping it would erase last week from my brain forever, but the What's On TV article suggests Arthur's attitude might not thrill me overmuch :/ We shall see! I bet the ending the Radio Times is referring to is a BABY DRAGON. Come on, it must be a baby dragon!!!! Merlin will adopt it and call it George for ironic purposes and there shall be hilarious shenanigans as he tries to hide it from Arthur and Arthur keeps finding random singed tapestries around the castle. What? I can dream of something more cheerful!

THANK YOU, thank you and thank you, for sharing these. I actually don't care about the whole story as we all know where the story goes (to some extent). I just love to see Arthur and Merlin and their very domestic and heart warming scenes.

I second this demand for a happy ending! I'm starting to worry that the episode might end with a hatching baby dragon but Merlin won't know it's happened...

Baby dragon?!!! I think that's what they are implying with the ending isn't it? Eeeee! I don't know why the RT are suggesting it'll just be younger viewers who will like that. My mum will be in her element if there's a baby dragon.

This episode looks quite good again. What the hell is going on with season 4. I do like the Gaius/Merlin relationship so I don't mind if we have an episode that concentrates on that. Plus with added Dragon, perfect.

Wow, Arthur's vowing to get rid of magic last week and dragons this week. He makes magical friends wherever he goes, doesn't he? Maybe he should disguise the Baby Dragon as a bunny rabbit and give it to Arthur as a pet for his belated birthday, to try and ease him back to liking magic. Although, there is the very likely risk that Arthur will eat it.

Trousers down tomfoolery...again? Not that i'm complaining! Bring it on! As long as it's not Gaius of course...

They are definitely implying that. I am so excited at the thought!

Arthur's going to have a LOT of apologising to do when he finally accepts magic. I would suggest generous gift baskets to all the magical community that didn't try to kill him and the best chambers in the castle for Merlin. Might I suggest Arthur's? Arthur wouldn't even need to move ;)

He DOES look yummy, both he and Merlin do. In fact if I didn't know better, I would say that photo was the prelude to some kissing in the rain. IT COULD HAPPEN.

Actually, no. TPTB what are- why are you doing this? I've been on a complete high since 4x03 aired, but Arthur beginning his reign by hunting down creatures of magic and thinking all magic is pure evil is wrong. I think if I were in Bradley's position I'd be unhappy as well (if he is...). I'm so conflicted! *sigh* At least Arthur is able to make his own (hindered) choice now that Uther is gone...

So much for canon where Arthur overturns the ban on magic soon after he's ascended to the throne. )=

I'm thinking, maybe it won't be as "KILL THE BABY" as it sounds? I can't believe that Arthur could actually destroy that egg :( Even if he has bad memories of Kilgarrah, surely someone mentioned to him that it had been locked up beneath the castle for years? That's enough to piss anything off!

We just have to pray Arthur isn't going to be Uther Version 2.0 because I'm not sure I could root for him if he was. I'm sad that yet again this episode is about Merlin having to outwit Arthur because Arthur is all SEEK AND DESTROY.

I'm hoping Arthur's attitude won't seem quite so bad on the day. At this rate I wonder how he will be able to be angry with Merlin for not telling him when he's never exactly been opening and welcoming to the idea :(

I hope so too :) I just found out today that I'm not needed at work on Saturday so I get a whole weekend off and you'd be amazed what sleep and a day to myself does for my mood. Hopefully I will come into the episode all bouncy and happy and ready for BABY DRAGONS.

Ugh! I can't help but feel that Arthur is suddenly the big bad of the series. And I really don't like it. But yey for baby dragons!
