Interesting Names.

I just came across the rather awesome name Fenella Philpot. Has anyone else ever come across a name they wished they had? Or borrowed one for their fics? I was very tempted to do that with a Professor Winthrop Wetherbee in Meeting the Minister, but in the end I made up the name 'Petronella Merrywether' for my witchy historian instead :D

I do have a tendency to use 'Tarquin' for comedic effect though...

The Best Origin Story In The World, Ever.

I was being all nostalgic tonight and watching cartoon intros on youtube, when I was reminded of this gem of my childhood.

Origin stories for fictional characters can, I'm sure, be difficult sometimes, or inspiring, or completely logical. Or they can make you wonder if the writers were stoned, working to an impending deadline, or wanted to make it to the pub before last orders.
