Interesting Names.

I just came across the rather awesome name Fenella Philpot. Has anyone else ever come across a name they wished they had? Or borrowed one for their fics? I was very tempted to do that with a Professor Winthrop Wetherbee in Meeting the Minister, but in the end I made up the name 'Petronella Merrywether' for my witchy historian instead :D

I do have a tendency to use 'Tarquin' for comedic effect though...

Fenella Philpot is an amazing name. Now I'm trying to think of cool names I've heard, but none come to mind.

Tarquin is really comedic, and I can't pinpoint why. It just is.

Tarquin always makes me giggle, even when it's being used to refer to the Roman emperor. There's just something ridiculous and pompous about that name!

And ahaha at Tarquin! For some reason, I always think about Star Wars and the Death Star when I hear that name! Which just adds to the comedic effect for me :D!

It's not really an awesome name, but my dissertation involves the work of the lit critic Margaret Ann Doody, whose name makes me happy every time I say it out loud.

(And my mum was at school with Annette Curtin. A nice name till you say it out loud. :D)

I once had a client named Imogen Irwin. I thought her parents must either love her very much or hate her very much. And then she told me her middle name is Irena.
