I think she DOES have the genuine reason to hate Merlin (even if that really annoys me because HONESTY MERLIN. IT HELPS), but yeah, they've given no justification for Arthur and Gwen. The best I can do is jealousy and ambition to take the throne, and even that I found sad because S1 Morgana loved her father so much, and when she found she was Uther's daughter that was just tossed out the window.

Yeah, I agree that she has good reasons to hate Merlin but the others...not so much :/

Wow, 'easily the best episode of the series so far' huh? I loved 401 and 402 so it'd be great if I ended up agreeing with that reviewer. Somehow I doubt I will though.

The idea that Uther might die and Arthur will blame it all on Dragoon and magic makes me want to cry. The only thing that makes me feel a little better is that from all the spoilery coverage I've read, I knew that at some point this series Merlin would do something that turned Arthur against magic and that there'd be a rift of sorts when it came to Agravaine, so I guess if all that has to come to pass, getting it out of the way now is best case scenario. I thought it'd be mid-season that everything fell apart, so this is definitely better. There's still time for it all to be worked out. I'm also firmly in the camp of people who think the magic reveal will be the cliffhanger at the end of this series, so I'll be holding onto the hope that once Arthur can see Agravaine for what he is, the M/A relationship will rebound back to where it was at the beginning of the season, but this time with bonus magic revealage.

I'm not gonna think about how Arthur becoming King now will probably mean his wedding to Gwen isn't far off. /hides head in sand

Ugh! I'm starting to get nervous. Also, that observation regarding Lancelot is so typical. The show does tend to ignore important things that happened in the previous episodes if it doesn't work with the current storyline.

It has no more details than you can get from the official synopsis and various tv listing previews. Mostly he's just talking about his impressions of the episodes. I wish there WERE more spoilers, I am like a spoiler sponge - bring me AAAAAAAAALL the spoilers ;)

Oh, this sounds great. I'm really looking forward to it. I was hoping there would be humor to offset the angst. Makes it more poignant.

I just noticed that they used two of Mary Stewart's book titles for 2 of the Merlin episodes. The Wicked Day, indeed.
