I can't lie, I am getting a LITTLE concerned about my TV viewing this weekend and what it might do to my blood pressure/heart.

Reviews of Merlin and Downton Abbey from the new Radio Times... Spoilers of course, and some speculation from myself.

I fear we have had a fundamental misunderstanding. When I mocked you and said I wish you'd go away, I meant for MERLIN AND ARTHUR'S FRIENDSHIP AND THE MAGIC REVEAL, not so King Arthur and Queen Gwen could start ruling over the golden age of Camelot while Merlin still washes Arthur's socks and ~keeps the magic secret~. Please come back Reset Button. Don't spoil all of fanon ever and all my favourite fics. We hadn't done all the things we were meant to do! I barely knew you! GAIUS HAS HAM.

How would they ever come back from that? How? If Merlin were to ever reveal his magic and that he is Dragoon, I can't see Arthur ever getting over it - not in the show. It'd be too painful. Merlin's been his friend for so long and yes Arthur knows there's something, but that might be too much.

Or maybe Arthur will remember all the times he's had a 'guardian angel' protecting him for the last five? six? years and be fine. Fic fixes EVERYTHING!!

I have no clue how on earth they are going to do the magic reveal :/ It has become so massive! Then again, this show rarely bothers to deal with wider or complex consequences so maybe it won't be as terrible as we think... ::hopes::
