I've been seeing this new CBBC trailer for their series one rerun for the past week or so and finally I found it on youtube! It's only short (and the quality is crap in all the fast moving bits for some reason) but it makes me all nostalgic for the glory days of series 1 <3 <3 Plus the music is pretty cool.

I like the song actually, it's sort of teenage and a bit emo and suits the audience they're going for on CBBC :D Plus it makes Merlin look a bit cool ;)

I miss it too! ::hugs series one:: I was watching the trailer and remembering when Morgana was badass but honourable, and her and Gwen were friends, and it was ALL about the Arthur/Merlin.

Yay I had seen it on CBBC and had wondered if it had ended up on YouTube.

Have discovered that the music is 'Hero' by Skillet whom Wikipedia tells me are an American Christian rock band formed in Memphis, Tennessee in 1996.

Oh no D: Everyone is laughing at my song!!! I think I must be the only one who loved it and thought it suited Merlin perfectly. It's all epic and heroic and... stuff.

For s2 and s3, but it's a little bit too intense for season one, I think. Back when it was just this little show that was finding its feet and laying the crumbly foundation of the Epic Gay Destiny... The song is awesome, though! I think it reminded me of 30 Seconds To Mars, and one of their (also awesome) songs was used on a trailer/preview for Camelot, and it just screamed 'Fanvid'. Idk, Idk...

I just watched another ~King Arthur rush for Sky Anytime+. It featured King Arthur saying (just after he's been set on his way to Avalon) 'Knights! Un-barge me! Remove this axe!' after Merlin shows him how he can watch loads of movies and then the Slash Dragon carries on with his voiceover... IDK why, but I cannot stop laughing... I think my mind has somehow found a double entendre, but has failed to explain it to me. #fanfichasruinedme o_o

Oh, S1, how I miss you. I feel like that song may be a bit too intense for S1's general arc (more appropriate for S3 with how it became a good vs. evil deal and they definitely needed a hero or two in that season...hence Arthur and his knights + Merlin to the rescue :)), but it works for the audience they're shooting for. And I do like that song in of itself. :)
