Trip to London

Forgot to say in my last post, I am off to London tomorrow to see Our Private Life! I am quite nervous, because I had a dream last night where I needed the loo just before the play started and then got lost trying to find my way back to the right theatre and missed the whole performance :( :( Also, I am always a mixture of excited and nervous about meeting new people, just in case everyone thinks I'm a weirdo.

But anyway, I am looking forward to meeting opusnone tomorrow afternoon, and then rane_ab and rodneyscat at the play. I know other people are going, but my brain is rubbish at the moment. I was talking to Ven about needing a secret fandom handshake for spotting each other at the theatre and somehow that turned into me wearing my Arthur the Whale badge on my coat (he's usually on my bag).

So yes, I will be the strange person with the small smug whale badge ;)

I remember reading a Merlin/Incredible Hulk crossover very early on in the fandom and it took me an embarrassingly long time to get the joke that either Merlin or Arthur was using /dragon as an internet chat room handle ;)

Thanks! I'm hoping nothing will go wrong, least of all me getting lost on the way to the loo ;) It'll just be nice to go to London and NOT be going to the National Archives to look at dusty old tax records.

I've had thoughts of getting stuck in the loo, too, especially with something like this.

On the other hand, when I went to the BAFTA thing, I had to go to the loo really badly and while I was in there, Bradley and Katie walked right past where all my friends were sitting. :(

Oh no!! What a horrible thing to happen :( It's so hard to judge at things like that, because you don't want to miss anything, but then again if you don't go to the loo/grab a drink/whatever it is you need, you'll just be sitting there thinking about it. Fingers crossed I manage to just sit and enjoy tomorrow!

I was quite upset but I made up for it later when I got to talk to all three of them. I think it was probably better to go to the loo than otherwise. :P
