Windswept Mystery Romance: A Daily Snark Post

In my eternal quest for bad book covers, I have discovered Windswept Mystery Romance - putting the 'mystery' into cover design.

I keep finding new ones, so instead of posting them all at once I thought I would post one a day. I shall call these posts 'WTAF Is Going On In These Books Does Anyone Know Because I Don't.'

Ahem. Book one, for your enjoyment <3



Okay, one, I was not aware the past was silvery, I thought of it more as a nostalgic soft focus gold. Two, I am concerned about it crying out hauntingly, unless it's reminding me I left the iron on or something, in which case carry on. Three, a carnival horse appears to have gatecrashed the cover for no discernible reason, BUT IT IS SILVER.

Answers on a postcard please!

Huh...you know I think maybe, maybe with some better lighting, that horse could look silvery? It's also a bit amusing to me since "Silvery" was an online nickname for me so to see it on a book cover is weird. :p

Whenever I hear 'silvery', I think of a character nicknamed 'Silvery Mary' in a book series I used to read XD

Wait til you see the others! There's a definite horror theme going on in some of them, but also romance... somehow.

That bra is very bad, but I'm liking her 1980s hair. I used to dream of hair like that, but alas I never had this thing called a 'diffuser' that the magazines kept telling me I needed for volume :( My life was very hard.

This definitely looks more like a ghost story than a romance - unless it's a romance with a carnival horse. I'm not sure whether I want to know or not.

AHAHAHAHAHAHA! You just made me laugh so much xD. That's brilliant! It really does look like it's just rushing through the picture - like a kid, that desperately, desperately wants to be on the picture too xD! And then the "Windswept" above it looks so much like a speechbubble it reminds me of Buzz Lightyear going "To infinity - And Beyond!" xD xD xD

Um, that horse looks kinda scary, just saying. Looks at its eye! Don't you see the evil glint in there?

I like the girl's hair though. I have super straight hair, and I always wished for curls. Maybe not as big as those, but still, curls.
