HAS ANYONE TRIED PUTTING YOUTUBE SUBTITLES ON OVER EPISODES OF MERLIN??

jamie15 gave me the idea from Jeeves and Wooster. I am dying over here. DYING.

It's a computer programme that 'captions' audio if you turn it on. It's still in beta mode apparently. AND I CAN SEE WHY.

On the bar under the video there is sometimes a little 'cc', click and select audio and it will create subtitles for whatever you are watching! Really, really, terrible made up computer programme subtitles... :D

I've found that I can disguise my addiction (sometimes) when I fold laundry while watching Merlin. Sometimes I just have to watch and do nothing but watch. Um, good luck with the productivity anyway:D

Youtube seems to have many interesting insights into their relationship, it should do its own episode commentaries!!!

Boo indeed! Although to be honest, I don't think that they'll be able to completely fix it for some time to come - I just believe that if humans occasionally have trouble with deciphering what exactly is being said, computers must have even more difficulties with that. So I don't see how they'll ever get it a hundred percent right.

I am just thinking about JE right this second! I have got to the stage now when I need to stop and WORK OUT THE REST OF THE PLOT. It's so hard though, what with magic and Merlin being a man and everyone's new MOTIVATIONS.

In an act of procrastination, I bought myself a new notepad to plan in. I don't know how people write epic fic, I really don't!

I'm having real problems casting Bertha. The obvious is to make her Morgana, but I have wanted, from the start, to have Morgana, Morgause and Edwin as the Rivers family who take Merlin in. UGH SO DIFFICULT.

I already have Sophia, so I'm left with either keeping Bertha as Bertha (I haven't cast everyone from the show) or pairing Arthur with a totally random magic user :/

You don't have to tell me -.-! I'm always amazed at how people can write such wonderful, beautifully plotted and LONG O.o! fics (especially when I'm still struggling to finish that teensy Sherlock story that I started two months ago ... ah, well)!

Buying a new notepad is a good idea though! There's nothing that works better as motivation than the smell and crispness of new paper :)! ... Hm, I wonder if that sounds a bit weird ...

Love the idea of Morgana, Morgause and Edwin as the Rivers family! But I can see your problem :/. Hm ... who did you cast as Sophia? Is it Blanche Ingram? What if you cast Vivian as Blanche for example? Then you could give Bertha's part to Sophia, right? But if worst comes to worst, I think you'll be fine with keeping Bertha as Bertha - she can have magic powers in your story right?

I made Sophia Blanche. I did think about using Vivian briefly, but I tend to use mostly series one characters and relationships so I went with Sophia.

I think you may be right about keeping Bertha as herself. I don't have to cast EVERYONE and that way I can make up her personality as I like and not have any preconceptions about her.

No, you certainly don't have to cast everyone - that could be very tricky too and you might end up casting characters for roles in the book that just don't fit their personality in the show (like for example, I can't really see Gaius as any of the JE characters ... Jane just didn't have a loving guardian and teacher like that ... hmmm, now that I think about it she is a bit like Morgana in that aspect ...!) - just go with your gut feeling I'd say - that's definitely the safest choice! :)
