magog_83: (Double Thumbs Up)
This fic was written as a Christmas present for my fantastic beta [livejournal.com profile] vensre , to say Merry Christmas and a big thank you for all her help and encouragement with my fanfiction this past year. God knows, it wouldn't be half so good without her input!

Anyway, at her request, I am posting it publicly to my journal :) This was written after a conversation, many months ago, about my childhood introduction to Arthurian legend – namely Enid Blyton's amazing Tales of Brave Adventure.

The Horn of Gondor was no match for the Giant Boy.

Unfortunately, this wonderful book contains some truly HILARIOUS 1960s illustrations that Ven found so amusing I was forced to steal them and use them to write this fic. The picture captions are my own (although all pictures are genuine) and Enid Blyton should not be blamed in any way.

Wordcount: 3,500 approx. (I've managed to lose the original file)
Pairings: Merlin/Arthur.
Warnings: er... utter crack. I mean, REALLY.

The Week The Sassy Pose Came To Camelot.

So, it seems when I created a Fic Masterpost for my journal I was in fact birthing a monster who proceeded to BLOCK all my consequent posts from appearing on people’s Flists. Thankfully, Ven beat back the monster with the power of Computer Competence, and then advised me to make a quick post with all my recent updates listed on it.

So here goes, since the Fic Masterpost Monster was born I have posted,

A Christmas Cracker Fic to go along with my Merry Christmas post to everyone. Which, er, many people obviously didn’t see. But MERRY CHRISTMAS anyway, hope you had a great one.

My attempt at the End of Year Fic Meme that has been going around, wherein I discover I have spent my year mainly writing Merlin fanfiction.

Two prompt fics,

The Journal of Geoffrey the Cat. Aged 3 years and 5 months— 1,822 words. (Merlin/Arthur)

Sea Voyage— 932 words. (Merlin/Arthur).

And lastly, two more parts in my Karaoke Gang modern AU - of which The Cure All, with the sad Merlin being cheered up by Kinder Eggs, was the third part. There is another part to come – the camping trip that [livejournal.com profile] ipodgirly and [livejournal.com profile] gerric asked about seeing in their comments to The Cure All. I just need to finish it off! These are all from Gwen’s POV and are Gwen/Morgana, with background (but quite vocal) Arthur/Merlin. All PG rated at most.

The order is,

Clouds In My Coffee— 1,895 words. In which Gwen is working late in the library, but she's not as forgotten as she thinks she is.

Perfect Fit— 2,184 words. In which Gwen finally makes it to the Slug and Lettuce, intent on a quiet night out before Christmas. But the rest of the gang have other plans. BEWARE THE CHEESY SONGS (there are links).

The Cure All— 1,800. In which Merlin has had a bad day and needs cheering up. Luckily for him, he has Gwen and Arthur.

I think that’s everything!
